About the activity

In Dress the Boy children choose clothes that suit the weather, such as a winter coat, scarf and hat for the snow or sunglasses for hot days. In What Comes Next? they complete a row of pictures, in Listen and Guess they recognise weather sounds, in True or False they decide whether a sentence about the weather is right, and in Falling Drops they play with raindrops.

The activity suits every season, especially autumn and spring, when the weather often changes.

What children develop

  • recognising weather and the seasons
  • dressing for the weather
  • listening skills and sequences
  • talking about the weather and vocabulary

How to use it in class

  1. In the morning, look out of the window with the children and decide together how to dress the boy.
  2. In True or False, read the sentence aloud and let the children answer with a thumbs up or thumbs down.
